I am participating in Running Against Ruptures on June 24, 2018.

On October 14, 2011, one week after I just found out that my daughter was expecting our second grand daughter and our son was expecting our grand son, I felt my aneurysm pop, while lifting a box.  I woke up two weeks later with coils in my head and a hole just in my hairline.  My nursing career was over but not my life.  I have three beautiful grandchildren that I can make memories now and in the future.  I’m so grateful that I’m still alive and able to continue living.  To go on field trips, vacations and live my life to the fullest. I do things now because I can!
