Help Keep Gord Riddle's Memory & Dreams Alive!
In November of 2016, my father Gordon Stanley Riddle suffered a massive brain aneurysm rupture that cost him his life. This occurred just 11 days after his granddaughter's first birthday and only 3 days after his first wedding anniversary to his wife Elizabeth. He was only 62 years old and was counting down the weeks until his retirement.
My father was an incredible man. He spent his life giving back by dedicating his life as a paramedic, volunteer firefighter and even ran two retirement homes for the elderly. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Even in death my father continued to save lives. He was an organ donor that agreed to donate what was needed to save others. He was a truly selfless man.
My family and I are heartbroken that he is no longer with us. He will not get to see his beautiful grandchildren grow up. He never even had the opportunity to meet my son Oliver Gordon, whom we named after him.
My wife and I have put together this page to ask for your support in helping to keep my father's dreams alive. By donating today, you will support the Foundation that helps so many people that have lost family or have family suffering from a horrible brain aneursym and/or rupture. Together, we can show that my father did not die in vain and that we can help others so that they do not have to suffer like my family and I do each and every day.
The Brain Aneurysm Foundation is the world's premier nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing critical awareness, education, support and research funding to reduce the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures.
All proceeds go towards:
- Funding and supporting new research.
- Providing support and educational materials to the medical community, the newly diagnosed, survivors, family members, friends and the general public regarding the facts, treatment options, and recovery process for brain aneurysms.
- Increasing awareness of brain aneurysms by promoting National Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month in September and by distributing aneurysm awareness materials to Emergency Departments in every hospital and to the community.
With your support, we can start making a real investment to help fight the devastation caused by brain aneurysms and save lives. All donations are tax-deductible and every dollar raised goes to help support the mission of the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
If you cannot make a donation at this time, please forward this link to everyone you know. Post this on your Facebook and Twitter pages. Every donation counts, no matter what the amount.
The loss of a loved one is devastating. Yet, we are always reminded by our hearts – how lucky we have been to know those that we loved even in our loss.
Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
